[奥斯汀- 2021年7月21日] — The 德州国际教育联盟 (菠菜社区论坛) is pleased to launch the next phase of the Continuity of Education collaboration 与 the 菲律宾高等教育委员会 (下风). The goal of the project is to build the capacity of universities and colleges across the Philippines to deliver quality online and flexible learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
菠菜社区论坛 led the first phase of the collaboration during the fall of 2020 与 the support of the U.S. Embassy’s EducationUSA office in Manila and CHED. 菠菜社区论坛 guided faculty to assess their campus needs, provided training on academic integrity and student engagement, and explored ways to humanize online teaching and learning. Phase 1 included 175 faculty members from 42 higher education institutions (HEIs) across the Philippines, many of whom went on to train other faculty at their own institutions, 包括大约2,增加000名教员. Phase 2 provided training on the development of institutional policies and procedures surrounding flexible learning.
项目的第三阶段, 96 faculty and administrators from 30 Filipino HEIs will focus on course planning and design, as well as building the capacity of participants to train their colleagues on the development of high-quality online and flexible learning courses. Phase 4 will focus on cascading this knowledge throughout the participating HEIs.
A second cohort comprising the remaining Phase 1 HEI participants who committed to finishing the full program is expected to begin Phase 3 later this year.
“The work has only just begun, and the remaining phases will not be easy. But we believe in your capacity as our champions, that you can guide us until the wider Filipino community benefits from your leadership and actions,“Atty. 莉莉芙蕾达C.
